🎨✨ A Historic Community Art Project Comes to Life in Eagar! ✨🎨
The Town of Eagar and The Bashas' Supermarket are proud to celebrate the successful completion of the Arizona Commission on the Arts FY2026 Youth Arts Engagement Grant project, an incredible collaboration between local student artists and art teachers that has resulted in a beautiful new mural depicting the rich history of Eagar and our vision for the future.
Over the course of approximately two weeks, local high school students Hunter Bliss, Avery Marble, Aden Finch, Jaqui Solis, and Jenna Blunt worked alongside local artists Brandee Snyder and Arina Mortensen to bring this project to life. Additional student artists Robin Geisler and Dorothy Boone also contributed to the mural but are not pictured.
This remarkable piece of public art not only showcases the talent and creativity of our local youth but also provides Eagar with a new attraction for residents and visitors to enjoy for years to come.
The students shared how much they enjoyed participating in the project and described the experience as both educational and inspiring. They are already looking forward to future mural opportunities and expressed interest in challenging themselves further by incorporating additional colors, techniques, and team members into future projects.
The Town of Eagar extends its sincere appreciation to this outstanding group of students and artists for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to making this vision a reality. We would also like to thank Salt River Project (SRP) for hiring a consultant and assisting in securing the grant funding that made this project possible.
Vice-Mayor Marsha Tucker visited the project site to personally thank the students and artists and to help capture this historic moment for our community.
We are excited to support these talented young artists in their future creative endeavors and look forward to seeing the positive impact their work continues to have throughout our town.
