Cemetery Committee

General scope

The Cemetery Committee makes recommendations to the Town Council regarding care and improvements to the Eagar Cemetery. The Public Works Department provides information and technical assistance to the Committee as needed.

Responsibilities

  1. To make recommendations to the Town Council concerning the continuous and conducive atmosphere, ambiance, operation, and maintenance of the Eagar Cemetery;
  2. To make recommendations to the Town Council concerning the future development of the Eagar Cemetery;
  3. To perform other duties as delegated by the Town Council.

Appointment and Service

The Cemetery Committee will consist of seven (7) members of which one (1) member is from the Town Council, the Public Works Director, the Town Manager, and four (4) citizens of the Town of Eagar. The Cemetery Committee does not hold regularly scheduled meetings but instead meets on an as-needed basis. Members are expected to attend all meetings of the committee unless otherwise excused.

Citizen members of the Cemetery Committee are recommended by the Nomination Team to the Mayor and Town Council and will be appointed for indefinite terms.
